The Commissioner of Audit, Choi Mei Lei, pointed out as introducing the Audit Report on the Accounts of the Macao Government of Year 2003 at the Legislative Assembly on November 4th that, certain progresses have been made in improving the financial management system through the concerted efforts by all public departments.

The Commissioner of Audit has completed Audit Report on the Accounts of the Macao Government of Year 2003 (hereinafter, “Report”), and made special review on the financial operation and management of the Macao Government in the past five years. The Commission submitted the report to the Chief Executive on October 20th as scheduled, which was further submitted to the Legislative Assembly by the Chief Executive.

The Commission of Audit has completed the Performance Audit Report on the Study on Financial Assistance Granted by Public Departments to the Private Organizations and submitted it to the Chief Executive. The citizens may come to the Commission and ask for it or download the full text of the report at the website.

The Commission of Audit completed the Performance Audit Report on the Supervision on Attendance of Workers of the Macao Security Force, (hereinafter, “the Report”), indicating the deficiencies in the supervision on the attendance and fieldwork of the personnel with Public Security Police Bureau, incoherent supervisory standards and loose supervision.

The Comission of Audit has completed Audit Report on the Accounts of the Macao Government of Year 2002 (hereinafter, “the report”) and submitted the report to the Chief Executive for examination, which was further submitted by the Chief Executive to the Legislative Assembly. The report was officially issued on October 30th and available to the citizens for free.

The Commission of Audit has completed the special regularity audit report on the accounts of the Tourism Fund, deeply analyzing the budget implementation and control, financial management and use of resources and raising the suggestions on improving the deficiencies.

The special audit report was submitted to the Chief Executive for examination and now available to the citizens for free.
