From 25 to 29 November, the “Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macao Audit Theories and Practices Conference 2019" was held by the China Audit Society in Nantou, the city of Taiwan. The Director of Audit Bureau of the Commission of Audit of Macao, Neoh Hwai Beng, was invited to lead a delegation to attend the Conference, and the audit experts and representatives from Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macao also participated in the Conference.

During the Conference, the participants exchanged views on three themes: “Innovation in the application of information technology in audit institutions”, “Oversight, Insight and Foresight of audit institutions” and “Communication and marketing of audit institutions”. The representatives of the Audit Bureau of Macao also presented papers on the related topics. The discussion in the conference was lively and achieved fruitful results.

The audit theories and practices exchange mechanism between Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macao has been established since 2010, and has already been held nine sessions consecutively, aiming to play an active role in deepening the exchange between auditors, promoting the in-depth study on audit theories and strengthening the Cross-straits relations.
