Commission of Audit held training course on International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers

The Commission of Audit (CA) invited Mr. Charles Fung, who has been engaged in the audit and accounting work for more than 40 years, to give a lecture to its staff on 20 November, in order to encourage them to update their knowledge and understand the latest situation of audit industry. This lecture aimed to broaden the horizons of the participants and introduced a series of brand-new concepts on the international financial standards from the practical perspectives.

The lecture was about the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers, including its establish background, the basic concepts and the main differences from the original standards.

In order to better fulfill the audit’s supervision duty, CA organizes various training activities every year for audit staff to keep abreast of the times and strengthen their professional skills, thus ensuring the quality of audit reports.
