15 April is National Security Education Day, and Macao hosted its first Educational Exhibition on National Security. In order to strengthen the understanding of overall national security outlook and the effort and achievement of Macao Special Administration Region (SAR) Government in defending national security, all chiefs and directors of Commission of Audit (CA) visited the exhibition at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao in the evening on 26 April.

The exhibition illustrated four topics, including: “The Overall national security outlook”, “The protection of national security under the law”, “The traditional and non-traditional national security”, and “The collective responsibility among all for national security” with photos, text and videos.

Through this exhibition, CA staff deeply realized that the protection of national security is an important and arduous long-term task. Macao SAR Government is consolidating the “one country” awareness and the constitution awareness, and has to accurately understand the relationship between “one country” and “two systems” as well as the relationship between China’s Constitution and the Basic Law, in order to combine the upholding of the Central Government’s overall governing power over Macao and the safeguarding of the Macao SAR’s high degree of autonomy, ensuring that the practice of “one country, two systems” remains intact and undistorted in Macao.
