Commission of Audit and Macau Society of Registered Auditors co-organized audit professional workshop

To implement actively the government auditing work, expand orderly the coverage of auditing domain and foster the exchange of technology between staff and the industry, the Commission of Audit (CA) recently held an “Audit professional workshop” with the Macau Society of Registered Auditors, with the aim of keeping abreast of the current trends and strengthening the professional technology.

The workshop consisted of six specific topics that covered diversified theories and practical application, including risk management in large-scale infrastructure works, IT risk, IT controls and IT auditing, internal audit, materiality in the audit of financial statements, effective cybersecurity risk management and effective management of reputation, crises and incidents. The six speakers, Mr Jiang Hongbin, Mr Johnson Tang, Mr Charles Fung, Mr Hok Fan, Ms Eva Kwok and Mr Marco Liu, are professionals with ample experience and have great achievement in the industry. During the workshop, the speakers not only introduced basic concepts and theories, but also shared their practical experience and specific cases for interactively exploring the methods applicable in practice. The attendance of this workshop was about 300 people.
