Audit Bureau attended the “Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macau Audit Theories and Practices Conference 2017"

At the invitation of China Audit Society, the Commission of Audit of Macau (CA) sent a delegation to Taipei to participate the “Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macau Audit Theories and Practices Conference 2017" from 28 August to 1 September, and presented papers on the relative topics.

Participants at the conference presented 15 papers, focusing on two seminar topics: “The application of large amount of data in conducting audit” and “Environmental audit”, and a forum topic: “Risk management of audit institutions”. After the presentation, they also made comments and shared their opinions.

The Director of Audit Bureau, Neoh Hwai Beng, led three CA staff to attend the conference, in which they presented three papers, namely “The implementation of Computer-aided Audit in CA”, “The research on resources and environment audit from the perspective of sustainable development” and “An Introduction to the importance of strategy in the risk management of audit institution”. Over 60 auditors and scholars from Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau participated in the conference.

During the conference, CA representatives took this opportunity to exchange views with other audit counterparts and scholars, in order to keep abreast of the latest developments trend of auditing, and also to expand their theoretical knowledge and learn about the practical applications.
