At the invitation of the Commissioner of Audit of Macao, Ho Veng On, the Director General of Audit Office of Guangdong Province (AOGP), He Lijuan, visited the Commission of Audit (CA) this morning (on 26 August), and had a conference with CA staff to exchange views on issues, including the management of audit institution, the development of Computer-Aided audit and the personnel training.

Ho Veng On expressed gratitude for AOGP’s support to CA over the years, and CA staff have benefited greatly, especially in the field of training and in the exchange of audit technologies. As the deeper regional cooperation requires stronger ties between audit departments, Ho Veng On expected that both sides can further foster the pragmatic cooperation on the basis of previous experience, in order to fully perform the supervisory function of audit together.

He Lijuan expressed that AOGP will continually share experience and ideas with CA on mutual topics, and provide some professional training courses on audit for CA staff, with the aim of promoting the stable development of audit work of both Governments and carrying out the role and function of audit properly.

In the meeting, CA staff introduced the concrete audit processes and development trend of Macao SAR Government to He Lijuan and her delegation, and both sides had an exchange of opinion on topics regarding Performance Audit, Computer-aided Audit, etc. Members of AOGP’s delegation included the Deputy Director General of AOGP, Lu Rongchun, the Director of Personnel Department, Lin Yang, the Deputy Director of Office, Jiang Linsheng, and the Deputy Director of Advising Center of Internal Audit, Chen Lianggao. The delegation returned to Guangzhou on the same day after the visit.
