Commission of Audit held a course on risk management

The Commission of Audit of Macau SAR particularly invited Mr. Charles Fung, the Macau registered auditor, the Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), the honorary professor of Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration of the Open University of Hong Kong, and the retired partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, to deliver five training sessions about auditing expertise between February and March 2016, with a view to increasing the professional knowledge of its staff. The attendance of this four-day course was 210.

The course was mainly divided into five units: audit risk management, due care, professional judgment and professional skepticism, risks in financial statement audit of public-sector, quality control and audit documentation. It introduced the latest development trend in detail, and shared the relative cases and its management skills, in order to improve CA staff’s ability to respond in the practical work and, in particular to explore the characteristics, similarities and differences of auditing in public and private sector.

Corresponding with the changes in the economic development and the actual operational needs, CA will provide a wide range of training activities to keep pace with the times and strengthen the audit team, for better fulfilling the audit’s supervision duty.
