2015/02/12

In order to promote computer aided auditing within the Commission of Audit (CA) and learning how Portugal’s Court of Auditors and other European audit counterparts promoted efficiency and effectiveness in their auditing activities through the application of information technologies, CA arranged a special training activity for its officers, which took place from 30 January to 9 February at Portugal’s Court of Auditors, in Lisbon, Portugal. Experts from the Court of Auditors conducted thematic lectures and workshops on computer aided audit and information systems security.

The eight officers who participated in the training are in charge of managing audit projects, in developing computer aided audit and in maintaining information systems security. Through this training, the participants could strengthen their knowledge on the technologies which are suitable and applicable to audit, which would be useful to strengthen and broaden the application of computer aided audit technologies and techniques within CA.

CA will maintain its cooperative relationship with the Court of Auditors of Portugal, under which it will invite experts from the Court to deliver professional courses in Macau, according to a schedule, in order to further raise the effectiveness of its audit work.
