China Society of Audit and the Department of Accounts of Chengchi University of Taiwan jointly organized the “Seminar on Audit Theory and Practice on the Two Sides of the Straight and in Hong Kong and Macau — 2013”, which took place in Taiwan. The director of the Audit Bureau, Neoh Hwai Beng, led a delegation of the Commission of Audit to participate in the seminar, which also included the director of the Department of Accounts and Information of the University of Macau, associate professor Yuen Chun Yip.

The key themes of this fourth edition of the seminar were “Audit on the Areas of Health and Basic Education” and “Monitoring the Performance of the Supreme Audit Institutions”. The delegates of the Commission of Audit presented communications and took part in the discussions on other communications on the two key themes.

The seminar was important for fomenting professional exchange on audit theories and practices between the four sides, since through this occasion the participants of each region could present and explain their audit theories and practices, their problems and experience to participants from other regions, and, in this extent, the seminar also was a contribution for mutual improvement.
